Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot Information

The Clerk is in charge of elections and voter registration. Anyone wishing to register or change their address or party must do so through the Town Clerk's office. Mail-in registration forms are available in all town libraries. The Town Census/Voter Registration Confirmation is completed every January and all citizens are required by law to respond. This confirms that the census/voter information is accurate or gives the opportunity for it to be updated.

Election Calendar 2004


The following is a breakdown of the elections to be held during 2004. This is a State/Federal Election year culminating with the Presidential Election in November. If you move or change your home and or mailing address, please notify the Town Clerk so that you will not lose your voting privileges.


FEBRUARY 11, 2004 
LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE AND/OR CHANGE PARTY ENROLLMENT FOR PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY - Town Clerk's Office open until 8 p.m. for that purpose.

MARCH 2, 2004 
PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY - Only people who are enrolled in a political party (such as Republican or Democrat) or who have the "Unenrolled" status may vote in this election. No individual who is enrolled in a party designation may vote. Polls open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. in all 13 precincts.


AUGUST 25, 2004 
LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE AND CHANGE PARTY ENROLLMENT FOR STATE PRIMARY. - Town Clerk's Office open until 8 p.m. for that purpose.


SEPTEMBER 14, 2004 
STATE PRIMARY - Polls are open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. in all 13 precincts.


OCTOBER 13, 2004
LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE AND CHANGE PARTY ENROLLMENT FOR STATE ELECTION. - Town Clerk's Office open until 8 p.m. for that purpose.


NOVEMBER 2, 2004
